    Copper head washers colour change

New gaskets have 200 miles on. The two exhaust side copper washers are going a golden colour. The four old ones are copper coloured. Anyone seen this ? Don't they make copper like they used to ?

Probably not. Maybe some alloy instead of a pure

Maybe they used an alloy because it works better. Maybe because it's cheaper. You decide.

Likely made out of recycled hot water cylinders and public art.

You can get a huge variation in colors in copper after it's been heated depending on contaminants, alloying, temperatures and time at temperature, etc.

For all those people who find it more convenient to bother you with their question rather than to Google it for themselves.

Anyway, ride more and they'll likely even out.

Never seen anyone else worry about this. Congratulations on having absolutely nothing else wrong, I guess...
