GL clutch cable on G??
Any opinions on whether an 1100 GL clutch cable will perform okay on an 1100 G? I know it will be a little longer but I have a spare for a GL and would need to order one for my G since the one on the G now broke this morning.1983 GS 1100 Guided Laser

Yes, it will work, but like you say, you will have to deal with a bit of extra length.
New cables aren't that expensive and easy to get, but this will work for the few days you have to wait, if you want to do the job twice.

Thanks Steve. You confirmed what the "responsible inner me" (the one that is usually buried) was thinking. I think I will put the GL ones on and order OEM with the idea of then putting the OEM's on and leaving the GL's routed in place for a standby in case of the need of a roadside repair. I guess the OEM cable would probably not fail for a long time.1983 GS 1100 Guided Laser
