    Trans leak?

So, to me this looks like a transmission output seal leak. Can I get some help on this?
    What do you guys think?
What is involved with replacing this??? 78 GS1000

    Thanks
I think you should clean it up and then see if you can locate the source of the leak.

As mentioned, clean it first, then find the leak. Couple of culprits, neutral indicator o-ring leak (easy fix), shifter shaft seal leak (easy fix).

This is the one I was referring to, is it an easy fix too? Thanks.

Also, the cover that came off is in terrible shape, I was going to soak it in solvent, but it seems to be full of foam... I assume that is factory??? Noise reduction?

          Thanks...
