    GS850 clutch cover on a 77-79 GS750?

    Hi everyone!

Is it possible to fit a clutchcover from GS850 on a 77-79 GS750?
The reason that I ask is that if so it would be a way of get
rid of the kickstarter If I wanted to.

    Any one who knows?

Also, one does not get rid of the kickstarter.

Actually the 850 cover might fit the 750, but you would want to block the hole for the clutch actuator, the 750 doesn't use it.

Not sure, no one has ever wanted to remove the kick starter before, but the gasket is the same, so it might fit. The clutch cover looks about the same except for the clutch mechanism.

Let us know how it works out for you, and be sure to put the kickstarter parts for sale on the parts for sale forum, someone will be wanting to add a kickstarter to their 1980 or later 850.

I heard he was needing a bit of head work.

Wierd. I consider my kickstarter to be an ADVANTAGE.

why not just ignore it until the one time you might need it ?
