I am still riding in "Winterpeg" at 0 or minus temperatures. When the ice and salt start is when I put it away for winter.1981 GS 1000GLX.

Yeah I just decided to roll the dice on the head gasket... was trying to save $100 . I also read a bit on guys re-using them... but yes it the best idea to just change it.
Hopefully it holds.
Actually my valve cover gasket is leaking, I broke it mucking around yesterday.
