1150 starter idler gear. Thrust washers or no?

My bike came to me with an 1100 stator cover, which I am in the process of changing to a proper 1150 cover. While inspecting things, I noticed a washer on the outside of the starter idler gear and none on the inside. I checked the online microfiche and it shows none for the 1150.
Is this correct? Did Suzuki make a change on the 1150? By judging from the fische I would say yes, but wanted to run it by the masses here.
    Thanks.

1150 factory service manual makes no mention of them. Haynes does, but that one covers primarily the 1100 with a chapter at the end for 1150 specific differences.
I'm thinking they are not needed.

      I'm agreeing there, Glen.

Well, yes but I'd rather not take a chance on bungling up the threads, then the ones in the engine. If it was Summer I would consider stacking a few washers to get me by , but I can wait to get the correct ones at this point.

Put a nut on the bolt and wind it right up to the shoulder / tip. Clamp the end you want to cut off in the vice. Cut the bolt with the hacksaw at the required length. Unscrew the nut off the bolt (this chases the thread back). If the end is a bit burred clean it up with a file or dress it on a wire wheel. Insert correct length bolt in engine.

That's a good idea. Truthfully and gerally uncharacteristic for me to want shiny chrome, I want the chrome bolts to set things off a bit, but if I get impatient I will do that. Thanks.
