550 engine
Last night I was drinking a few beers and drunk Andy decided to pull the engine out of the bike. Dorkbox has some issues due to the previous owner being a moron. But I'm not one to back down from a fight. As I'm getting ready to spend some money on new parts I got thinking that maybe I want to just get a bigger engine. I don't want to put money into a 550 if a larger engine is a straight swap. A lot of the parts on the bike have "550\750" on them. Does that mean a 750 would bolt right in? would all the parts be usable? Or do I just stick with the 550 and use the bike as my bar hopper? This is my play bike. My other bike is a champ. Dorkbox is just for fun.Tags: None

A common upgrade is to put a 650 top end on the 550. Gives you more displacement and a 6 speed trany. A win-win scenario.http://img633.imageshack.us/img633/811/douMvs.jpg

Yes, you keep the six speed that came out of the 550 but put in a larger top end from the 650Cowboy Up or Quit. - Run Free Lou and Rest in Peace
