upper timing guide
I have a 1982 GS650G ,have been going thru bike.Have noticed upper end noise i thought was excessive ,when did vale adjustment all were tight (low miles) 10,000k. Noticed a few chain marks on inside of value cover (center top) looked in parts diagram and its missing the guide that bolts to the bottom side of value cover. My problem is I cant find one, listed as obsolet.. Part number 12782-49140 changes to new number 12782-33200. This guide is used in many different models , 550,650,1000,1100. Any help of where to locate new or used wood be helpful. Thanks JeffTags: None

Any of the parts suppliers should have it. Partzilla lists it.
I wouldn't worry about the change in part number; that's standard practice for companies that retool, or change manufacturers. Just order the new number.'83 GS650G
'83 GS550es (didn't like the colours in the 80's, but they've grown on me)
