Would you use this cam chain guide?

I've been watching Ebay for a cam chain guide in decent shape. I came across this one today. It's the best I've seen though some of the scoring/cracks seem pretty deep. What you guys use this?

I was going to say "just replace with new" but then I searched the fische, pfeeee-eeew, something ain't right, 360 some dollars? surely there is an alternative?

Nope. I'm OK with the scoring, but not the cracks. Partzilla says that part # is used on a fair number of GS's: http://www.partzilla.com/parts/detai...810-45040.html

Partzilla is $333.50 and I agree that is insane for a fairly simple piece of plastic.

EDIT - I just looked up the same part for my 82 1100E and it is $70. It might be worth calling a dealer and asking about it just to make sure there isn't some typo or incorrect info involved.

335 is way cheaper than what the grenaded engines gonna cost..or your body breaks from the crash when she lets go inside. Spend the money on new and forget about it the rest of your life.

The new part is crazy expensive. I can't in good conscience spend that much on a part. I could buy all 20 guides I see on Ebay for $300. I'm gonna keep looking and hope I find something I can use. It's the last piece of the puzzle.

Though I've seen similar prices across OEM retailers, it's prolly worth a call to verify.

Used on 400/425, 1st gen 750, and 850. Suzuki has jacked up prices on rare parts before, but I agree, it could be a typeo on their part. The GS1000E petcock is another part with a crazy price. I'd look for a good used one.
