    Gs1000 piston ring problems

Where can I find standard size piston rings at? I found weisco rings but someone told me they can only be used in weisco pistons. I refuse too pay 35 bucks per piston for rings like imb wants!

OEM Suzuki rings are available at a multitude of dealership sources, including online from places like Parts Outlaw and Partzilla. They cost more than $35/set though. I'd just pay whatever it takes to get OEM rings and OEM gaskets and seals. One exception: viton valve stems seals as available in the aftermarket are fine quality and last. Call it the price of admission to make sure your bike runs well and lasts.

I don't know where to find less expensive standard rings. If you refuse to pay the price for OEM, then buy another bike.

I found a complete set for 50 bucks. There is not reason that piston rings should cost 35-40 dollars per piston! Especially when there are other engines that use the exact same ring!

Good find. Better measure the ring to groove clearance just to be safe. The specs are in the FSM.
