    Gasket question... Help?

    1981 Suzuki gs750gl

So she sprung a massive oil leak, from everywhere lol. I took the opportunity to replace all gaskets. Pulled the motor, replaced oil pan, side covers, etc... Put the motor back in, and discovered the kit does not have the metal head gasket. It has a base gasket and cam cover but no head gasket... Arg...

Soooo, is it worth trying to use the old metal gasket? It's not damaged per say but the layers are starting to separate. My assumption is that may well have been part of the leak but I just don't know enough about it yet. So my question is this,. With the head torqued back down would that metal gasket hold? Or is it likely to fail? There is no other damage to it, just the layers separating around the edges.

    Thanks guys...

Likely to fail and you'll have to do it all over again.
