81 GS650L Oil Pan Removal - Help Needed

Having a terrible time removing the oil pan from the 81 GS650L so that I can split the case.

Any suggestions for non-damaging ways to remove the oil pan?

Doesn't seem that there are any overlapping edges to get an purchase to break the gasket seal.

Did you already take a rubber mallet on the sides and gently knock it loose?

How about a wide putty knife at rear to bust seal?

I was knocking it with the mallet and then trying to get a plastic putty knife in there. Might have to go with a thinner, metal putty knife.

No amount tapping would persuade it to move before I resorted to using a wide putty knife in the corner. Popped off after that.

The wide, thin putty knife did the trick.
