Some rattling noise under the cam cover?

    81gs, 1166, g3 cams,on a 81gs 750 frame.
I'm getting ready to adjust my valves.
Benn noticing a little extra noise, mostly at or just above idle under the cam cover Lately?
It's kinda rattling, more than Clicking?
Want to know what to look for when I adjust the Valves?
I have bout 2k miles on engine since I built the Top!
The bottom has bout 20k on It!
Ps, what's a safe Redline? I've benn shifting 9.5k?, and it's still pulling with 34s?

        I. Ran the valves,.004 int and .005 ex.
A few were just a tad loose on the Int side, 1 ex was tad tight.
I'm surprised but much quieter now ?

Mine Rattles some on start up but once its warmed up it goes away. I have been reading up on the cam tensioner but am reluctant to mess with it since in AZ this is our riding season and otherwise the bike is running great.

A little noise at startup is normal, till things warm up and expand!
