AHHHHHH!!!! 81 GS650 Intake valve guide

Anyone have a source? Broke one swapping the seals. Am finding they are discontinued but can’t believe someone isn’t making them.

    Thanks,
    Robert

Hmmm. The 77-80 550 shares same intake valve as the 650 shafties according to some part fiches, but guides are different? How? longer, fatter?? The stem seals are the same .Maybe you could modify a 550 part

Not for the GS650. Asked them, said nope.
        But thanks for the reply.

I’ll take that info and go look for one that’s close. A bit crazy that this can’t be found.

This is not a complex part, but you'll need to find someone with a lathe to make one.

You should be able to find a universal valve guide, then you'll need to take some measurements and go from there...

I don't know if 7mm ID is correct for your bike, but this is one example:
These guides are ready to be machined to your exact needs. High quality manganese bronze. Several sizes to choose from.
