1982 gs550e head gasket

That is apparently the superceded part number.

You do know that common wisdom is to also change the base gasket when changing the head gasket?

The process of removing the head usually disturbs the base gasket.
Usually not found until it's all back together and running, requiring doing the entire job AGAIN.

Steve yes I've ordered suzuki base gasket. Think I will order that head gasket too .I have got a head gasket but not suzuki .does any one know if I need the 4 o rings with the superseded head gasket ??

Don't know much about the 4 valve motors but I'm pretty sure you'll still need the 4 O rings.

Got my head back from machine shop .had it skimmed. Valve seat and valves recut .Just waiting on gaskets and valve seals coming .has anyone got any tips for rebuilding these engines.as I've not done one before any help would be appreciated thanks yozzer
