GS550T vs GS550 Katana
Hey y'all. I've been trying to do some research but I'm not finding much info. Does anyone know if there was a difference in the transmission between the T and the M? I've been toying with swapping out the guts on my 550T to get a bit more of a race mentality out of her. If there's no difference, I can look at going another route, but I just can't seem to find any info, so anything you folks could pass on would be greatly appreciated -

The transmissions are identical. You can look up the part numbers for all the gears/shafts/parts for yourself at Alpha Sport.Ed

I appreciate the help. Still figuring out the best way to get myself some more pep without sinking a ton of money into the driveline. The rebuild will cost enough, and I'd like to keep the engine to say it's original, so now it's all about talking a little more out of her. Picked up a parts bike, so now it's time to get down and dirty with it. I'm somewhat mechanically inclined, but a lot of the threads dive pretty deep so it's been...adventurous learning how all this goes. Either way, I appreciate the response.

The best way to get more power out of a 2-valve 550 is to replace the top end with 650 pistons and cylinders.
Almost 25% greater displacement, looks are virtually identical.
