EBC CK3345 clutch friction plate thickness

my clutch was dragging on my '79 GS1000E, so
I bought the EBC CK3345 friction plate set off ebay. I'm pretty sure I swapped in a clutch cable last year and also tried moving the clutch pull arm on the splined shaft (last year that got me a little more pull for release but I could not do it again..

a fcew years ago I modified my clutch hub shimming the springs to reduce eliminate the chatter (worked well) and I think back then I saw some grooving on the hub which might act to make the plates hang (drag??). I don't remember much of that either but might have tried to file the grooves a little smoother.

Anyway, I reieved this new EBC clutch and the seal on the box was broken and just inspecting I can visually see variation in the plate thickness while holding the stack together.. And I see some shiny stuff in the plates (almost like a sintered metal or semi metallic brake pad) but the CK3345 is supposed to be a cork friction plate.. I wrote EBC but have not heard back yet and so this clutch is sitting on my table.

can anyone share the friction plate thickness specs including variation on each plate?? also, should the CK3345 have any shiny reflective specs in the pad material? what about groove depth in the friction plate pads??

    thanks!!!
