Countershaft sprocket nut keeps loosening

    gosh they dont look worn. does the sprocket when loose fitted show any great lash? too lazy to reread did you use a new nut and washer
    my splines look worse and the sprockey has not loosened since last sprocket change

        It seems to be seated on the splines adequately. The sprocket nut looks to be original to this bike. Should I try replacing the sprocket nut as well?

          the nut is just plain on your bike? mine has a metal insert that seems to be there to resist turning
          oddly threads and shaft tip look the same. i wonder if you could get the later type nut in correct size
          theres no way suzuki made the mod out of altruism or artistic intent

            It’s nothing noteworthy. The threaded portion looks to be about 6mm of thread and the other portion is recessed to clamp onto the sprocket. it doesn’t look like it changed. I just ordered a new replacement as well as a new washer to see if that’ll help things. I doubt it but it’s worth a shot.
