Quick question about different GS1100 models
I recently picked up a GS1100GLZ for $600. I was hoping if anyone knew if you could swap the engine heads from a E series into the G engines. I want to convert it from the two valve to four valve system. Are they basically the same or do I have to do some extensive engine mods?Tags: None

Put too much power into that shaft transmission and you end up with a twisted noodle drive.
There's a reason Suzuki didn't do it, and even the later GSX1100G has a modest power output compared to what it could produce. I mean a mere 100bhp from the 16-valve 1100 engine is pants, relatively.

No, can't be done.
Forget the "too much power" issue, the bolts simply do not line up, along with the oil passages and other critical stuff.

Just get a 1100E; 83 if possible .They have the big end welded crank.
