    If you haven’t already, email Steve for his valve clearance spreadsheet. Take the math out of the job and it’s just turning wrenches. Follow the instructions carefully. Don’t turn the crank when there’s an empty bucket or you could damage the surface of the cam lobe, maybe the bucket lip. It’s a job that has to be done. Best to learn how to do it yourself.

      Your buddy is mistaken - these are shim-over-bucket jobs.
      Bucket-over-shim are designs I won't touch if I can avoid it. Iow, I wouldn't buy one.
