How is the sight glass attached?

I bought a new one, I found the angle to see if there was oil to be annoying. Buying a new one might have been overkill, but here we are. Is it just push in, or glued or some other witchcraft?

Press fit if I recall. You can put some kind of sealant around the perimeter as you press it in. I did one years ago and it seems like I used something the same diameter to rest on the perimeter as I tapped it in. Maybe a short nipple of PVC pipe or something like that. You'll probably get more definite replies.

I find working on my motorcycle mildly therapeutic when I'm not cursing.

It installs just like an oil seal. Press fit.
