Did you buy a rotor puller?

    To measure is to know.

I gotta ask. Is it the coating of the stator windings that’s melted? Or actually the rotor? Not doubting. But I wanna see pics, just for my own education.

The black resin that is around the outside has melted and broken away getting the case off

I've never seen one melted like that, but that's not why it's stuck.

In my experience, a slide hammer simply does not and cannot work (I once tried an absolutely gigantic slide hammer on a scrap engine; the rotor did not budge, but I'm pretty sure the crank and cases were damaged). You need a high quality threaded puller, some grease, and an air impact.

I don't know which puller is correct for your engine; if you believe Google, it seems to be basically a large hardened bolt with 16mm x 1.5mm threads. For these bikes, I use a grade 12.9 socket head bolt (I have an impact-rated bit socket for this.)

A low-quality puller or bolt will only destroy itself.

Again, don't believe me or Google; measure those threads and verify what you're dealing with.
