    Gearbox

    Hi
I am putting the gear selector drum and gear shafts back in, the manual is a little vague re the installation of the drum and the pawls, is there a critical way to re install the selector drum ?, so i don't miss anything regarding the position of the pawl to ensure the gearbox will index?.
    many thanks

It's pretty foolproof to be fair. As long as you have your selectors fitted correctly, the gears etc. should all move into the correct position if that makes sense?

I numbered them on the 550, when I stripped it, just to make it quicker when they went back together. If you look at my blog post and scroll down, you'll see them which might make it easier for you. https://biketech7.blogspot.com/2020/...k-barrels.html

thanks, very interesting, i notice the 550 gears stay in the top case as apposed to the bottom on the 750, good work there thanks.
