Potential Donor Motor
May have found a new motor for my gs750t and was looking for info on it. It appears to be a early to mid 80s GS 1100 Motor (16 valve), by the valve cover. Engine code is GS110X-103623. Comes with carbs but no airbox. Guy says it had 22k miles and was ran 6 months ago but has been sitting since. Just looking for info and potential problems to watch for. I'm guessing the minimum work required would be the carbs need to be cleaned and rejetted with pods, the rubber o-rings replaced, new intake boots, new oil and filter, and valves adjusted. I've heard the engine swaps from a 750 to an 1100 are relatively simple, but wanted some feedback before I checked it out and got a compression test done.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Even if it has good compression, I'd recommend taking the top end off and replacing all the gaskets, especially the valve stem seals1978 GS 1000 (since new)

Good point, probably worth doing with an unknown service history...---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
