I might move the controls up, or I need to lift the bike a few inches. I got a little to balsy into a left corner while the bike decided to run good. I had my boot under the shifter so I could upshift out of the corner and pow... new scrape mark on my boots. Didn't hurt much though.

Maybe it needs GP style shift....

Got the Dyna ignition and coils on, my electrix stator and reg are lost in the mail.

Still have not made a seat.

Still no front tire.... 140/70/18 Avon front tyres are unobtanium.

So my akront rim + sportster hub and GSXR 750 forks are still sitting against the wall .

On the good side riding a 90 HP bike with a rotten front tyre and no fork oil is improving my skill.

I need to get the bike done... going to ride it to Paso Robles on memorial. 6 hours might make me have a sore butt...

oh... the 93 gsxr forks came off Britt Turkington's Supersport bike and the forks have been reworked by Lindemann Engineering.

Just need some 954 honda clamps now.... or see if forking by frank can make em longer.

              I've built a seat.

I built a seat for it after being pulled over 4 times... the last cop called my bluff. ARS 28-964B says it has to have a seat... but not what they want in a seat.

I also installed my new stator + reg.

I'll post pics Mon if I have a chance.

                philofab,
great bike! over the next few months I'll be doing a similar project with a GS450. How much hacking/drilling did it take to get those rearsets to work? Also, did that kz seat give you alot of trouble?

well I'm using a '92 GSXR 1100 front end with my '82 Katana and the speedo hooks up just fine, you just have to calculate the difference in wheel size into the speed you're supposedly going. the old wheel was 19" the new one is 17" so the difference is like 12% or something. If my speedo says 80 I'm really going 70 or something.

Sorry for replying to this old post, just saw it

All most the whole back end of the bike is custom fabricated.

Are there any decent web sites featuring street fighter style bikes?
My buddy used to get a weird aussie or british magazine that had lots of wild stuff, kind of like Iron Horse for jap bikes. I can never remember the name of it. Does anyone have a clue which magazine I'm talking about? It may be out of print by now...

Anyways, are there any good sites with street fighter pictures?

                                New Pics!

I know it's been a while, I have been very busy.

                                She is a dirty girl.

Rusty seat pan from riding in the rain.

                                New front tire, aggressive huh?

My forks still need to go on.

Tarozzi rearsets I got from Unkl Al's at 928-704-UNKL (8655).

Tarozzi rearsets installed on my bike... dirty from exhaust and rain.

The evil unsafe front tire that helps make the bike wobble at the end of the quarter.
