Silencing Turn Signal Horn (1979 GS)

This spring I want to silence the turn signal horn simply because it drives me completely nuts. The problem : I don't have a clue on how to achieve my 2005 goal. Help!

Simply unplug it dood. Follow the wires coming out of it to the plastic plug and yoink it out. Done

And would you happen to know where it is located?

I sure do. If this is a GS1000 or 850 it is right under the seat. Your sitting on it

          It's a 1979 550 and it sounds like it's inside the headlight. (?)

Hmmm, well you could open the headlight and get to it then. What is your bike? 1979 GS550??? what? EN? LN? N?

Got it! It's inside the headlight casing. Someone before me cut the wire and reconnected it. Boy, how nice now! Thanks mate.
