    Check them out

Nice ride as is. Just looked through some old numbers and found a possible lead for you. AirTech-2530 Fortune Way, Vista Ca. Phone 760-598-3366. If they are still around they had some dynamite glass products. If I remember correctly searched "vintage fairings". Not sure if they still exist, its an old note in an older book-good luck and hope to see more posts on you progress, Cafe' has class!!

Yes you can change the appearance

I have an 81 gs 450 L . I just replaced the apehanger bars with some black cafe style bars. And the seat looked to bulky for the cafe look i'm going for so I got one from a 450 T . It's my impression that you can use just about anything from another suzuki 81 450 but different model letter t, l, e, .....

          Mix (T & L) or (E & S) together and you should be OK.

Do any other crossovers and you may have issues. The tanks and seats for those 2 classes are way different as is the peg positioning, rear fenders and other rear bits etc etc...

            yeah

But not if you have the tools and skills. essentially the same bike. same frame. and engine set up . and stuff.

              Not the same frame.

Were you able to switch the L seat with the T seat? I've been wanting to do the same.

Lower fairing (air scoop) and a 1/4 cafe fairing (my windscreen is different) make a bike look pretty 'sporty'. You can follow suit of mine if you wish...

CAUTION THERE ARE MORE THAN ONE 450 T SEAT S OUT THERE OBVIOUSLY EVEN THOUGH THE DIFFERENCES ARE TO CUSHIONS AS MAKE UP IS TO A FACE IT CAN STILL DO A LOT. hOPE I CAN GET SOME PICTURES POSTED.

                    CAUTION AGAIN !!!!!!!!

GOT THE T SEAT ON MY L 450 LOOKS GREAT BUT ................ BLEW 2 FUSES WHILE RIDING CAUSING ME TO LOSE ALL THE STUFF ELECTRICITY SEEMS TO MAKE WORK. IF YOURE IN GEAR AND THE ENGINE DIES WON'T YOUR REAR WHEEL LOCK UP . PRETTY SURE IT WILL . JUST HAPPENED TO ME. I SUSPECT IT 'S WHERE THE NEW SEAT IS PUSHING DOWN ON SOMETHING CAUSING IT TO ARC. SO LOOK OUT UNCLE MIKE ... UNCLE MIKE LOOK OUT ! I'LL KEEP YOU POSTED. MY BROTHER IN LAW IS A MASTER MECHANIC SO HE AND ILL FIGURE IT OUT TOMORROW. MOSTLY HIM.

If you're in gear and the engine dies, pull the clutch lever right away....

                          blown fuses

could have been just a fluke. But I went ahead and had the seat trimmed so It would not hit the side covers so much.
