    forks

yeah its time to clean up the 850G and there is one spot thats really starting to annoy me, on the front forks of the bike there is a yellow tint, i am guessing its from sitting for awhile and i can;t get it off, i have tried buffing it,using cleaners and nothing, i was wondering if acetone will take it off or other chemicals will do it, i mean i can get anything since i work at a chemical factory, i u have any input on what to do fill me it will be greatly appreciated.

    thanx

If it's on the lower fork leg's it's the clear coate that's gone bad.
Acetone should move it, if not paint stripper.

As already said, the clearcoating has yellowed.
Paint stripper will work. Then you can polish the forks if you like.
Check out my website if you want to see some polishing. Just click the WWW symbol at the bottom of this post.
And on the seventh day, after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!
Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!

Looks great! I wish my 1100E had a chrome front fender rather then the painted plastic one.
