Coating for wheels
Does anyone have experience with blast cleaned wheels? I am cleaning off the corrosion and flaking original faded coating and wonder if leaving the alluminum spoke webs and hub areas uncoated will cause problems. I really like the look of of the wheels in the as blasted condition and would like to keep this if it will hold up. Anyone done this? Aluminum being a metal will oxidize just like steel, only the oxidation takes the form of a whitish colour.
