Question about drive shaft wheel options...
My first post here, I'm building a 79 gs850 chopper, but do we have any wheel options with the drive shaft bikes? I'd like a spoked wheel, are there any spoked drive shaft wheels out there? Do I have any options here at all?Tags: None

All Suzuki shaft drive bikes have the same drive flange on the wheels. The problem is on the brake side.
I am in the process of fitting a VX-800 wheel to my 1100G. The wheel is a five spoke design and is 17X3.5. It will allow a 140 tire with no interferance. I can get a 150/70 in but you have to remove the draive to get it in the swingarm.
Yuo must find the correct caliper bracket and caliper as well. The VX only has a 240mm disc where the GS's had a 276mm disc.
The Intruder has a spoked wheel, but uses a drum brake. I believe it is too wide for the GS swingarmLast edited by Guest; 01-26-2006, 01:44 PM.
