    Front fender neccesary?

My bike didn't come with a fender, I rode it for a couple of months just fine, do I really need one? I found one on eBay for $20 and was wondering if it would be worth it. I personally think they all look funny anyways.

Check your state vehicle code and see. It's probably required, so any cop feeling like writing a ticket might give you one for not having it.

      And watch out for puddles...

Personally I would run with one, it does block the water from being sprayed up from the front wheel, I heard a term called "rooster tail" that happens when no rear fender is used, I would suspect the same would be true for a front wheel.

I wouldn't consider not having both fenders. I've done lots of bicycle riding in the rain. It's quite easy, on a *bicycle* to spray water back 20' to 30'. That's with a tire that's only an inch hand a quarter wide. The spray from a motorcycle tire at speed would be like a fire hose, and it wouldn't help you or your engine.

The front fender has a built-in fork brace if it's a metal one, the later plastic types have a a seperate metal brace that goes underneath, I feel the difference in handling without a fender on.

deffo put a front on,i took mine off and while riding on wet roads i,d end up soaking wet and covered in crap,as the spray has nothing stopping it so right round an over you is were it ends up
