Im not sure if this question has been asked or not but I looked and could not find anything. I saw some random dude with what looked like an 83 Katana, but he had very modern crotch rocked gauges on it. I see that this is possible but I am wondering just how hard it would be to wire this up. I know there is no chance in hell that it is painless, but I dont have a wiring diagram in my manual for some reason. I really like the look of it vs. my cracked and stained big dash box thingy. Has anybody ever done this? I have an 83 750 es...Tags: None

The gauges on my 86 450 were tharshed, so I bought gauges from a 79 gs850 off ebay. The wiring was different because the new set had different lights and connectors. I just traced each wire to its bulb on the original and marked each wire near the connector. Do the same with the new set, then cut the wires, match up the new gauges with the old connector, and solder. Take your time and be careful, you should do fine.
