I bought these bags thinking I could just mount them without any modifications, I was a bit off. It wasn't a total loss though. With only a little modifying they fit great. I actually think if I had the rear footrest brackets and the bracket that fits where the directional bracket is on my bike it would have been a bolt-on deal. What I did bolt the brackets to the shocks and then weld a small piece of metal to the exhaust bracket and a small square piece of steel mounted to the directional bracket and...DONE. The exhaust is a little closer than I would prefer, but the bags don't get hot so I think it will be fine. I'm planning on changing exhaust anyway and the mufflers will be longer and not so much of a megaphone. I put 500 miles on this weekend with a passenger and no adverse reactions. It still needs a little tweeking but it works for me, now I can take some long trips and have storage.

I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...
