      Autosol metal polish works great.

I have Mother's Metal polish, S100 finish restorer, and Simichrome polish

I haven't been able to tell the difference between any of these \\/

I use Gord's Polish and have had better luck with it than Mothers. It works very well and I have used it on all of my bikes. Here's the link http://gordsaluminumpolish.com/index.html

              polish

Solvol Autosol has to be the best, but for the first stubborn bits use cheap tooth paste as it is slightly abrasive. After Solvol use Windowlene window cleaner ( the pink stuff not the clear stuff ) to keep the shine up to date.
This advice was given by a guy who spent over 30 years polishing at Jaguar cars in Coventry. I do'nt think it is worth contradicting this advice realy do you ?

Another vote for Mothers' Mag polish. I also like Simichrome, but the Semichrome takes a little more work to shine.

I've been using Mothers on a dremel buffing wheel. Takes a long time, but it's like a mirror!

Yeah I've been using the mothers on a 3" cloth wheel attached to a hammer drill. It definetely is time consuming, and all I've polished are the diapragm covers!!

Will this stuff also work for cleaning up mag wheels on my '82 GS750E?

It sounds like some people use the same product for polishing aluminum AND buffing chrome? My experience is metal/aluminum polishes will dull/scratch any chrome plating. They're too abrasive for chrome. For aluminum, I use either Mothers Mag polish, Semi-chrome or Blue Magic for areas where I can't get my buffer and rouge compound into. For chrome, I use any low-abrasive chrome polish, such as Turtle wax brand.
And on the seventh day, after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!
Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!

Flitz is amazing. Just ungodly expensive.

Flitz is great on chrome, but Simichrome worked much better on my forks and engine cases.
