finding paint codes

does anyone know the paint codes for the two tone blue gs650gl?, getting closer to being able to redo the whole bike and i figured id see if anyone knows them as i dont mind taking on the challenge of doing the paint.

i might change the colour, might not, but if i go through this bike completely and im aiming to cosmetically clean up and make this thing really shine then the tank will possibly bug me even more.

ive also thought of redoing everything except the tank and fairings on purpose as i did uncover the paint myself from it being spray-painted black.

This parts house will list the codes for some of bikes. Just go through the normal process to drill down into what you are looking for. Keep in mind however, these codes no longer exist so your best bet might just be to have them match as closely as possible

Finding the paint code is possible, but unfortunately, there are no paint formulas to match those codes.

i wasnt able to find the code unfortunately, i guess im not so sure where to look as i went to the fuel tank and just looked around trying to see if they had a specific code.

i could definitely do the same exact scheme as i love the design of the tank, but maybe change up the colouring.

we will see what i can do!

Take some advice from someone who's been there, pick ONE bike to act as your money pit. You have three and are trying to scrounge up the cash for another, you'll never get your dream bike until you put some personal discipline into focusing on one bike at a time in order to get it.

oh...like I said, haven't looked for paintcodes before lol.

i just cant wait to start the rebuild, kindove a restomod but i already did that just changing the bars, seat, and adding speakers lol.

Apart from where the pinstriping is boogered, that looks like clearcoat damage all over.
You could flatten it all down and shoot a couple aerosol coats of clear on it, but whether that will end up better or worse, who knows. Obviously have to repair the pinstriping before coating.

if im honest im not too worried about the pinstriping blemish as i am with the whole thing being scratched and having all the little spots on every inch of the tank, if i could get it to where it just has the pinstripe blemish but the tank has a nice clean coat id be really satisfied, i love looking at the bike 10 feet away, but up-close I just constantly feel like it needs to be worked on.

its gonna be a learning process which is the biggest risk for the paint as its gonna be me fixing it up, i already have a good method to get the dents out to get the shape back to normal, but the clearcoat fix, well we will see how that goes...

who knows i might take on the pinstriping if i actually get the tank to a really nice condition and feel as if its necessary for me, but then its the right fairing thats sun damaged that would need to be replaced, then the left one because its cracked and needs to be ziptied on, then the dash because its dulled out....the real worry is the domino effect from fixing things up cosmetically.
