    Front fender gs550

Is there an painted version of this fender, what model did it come off? I dont want to keep my chrome fender, anyone have a paintable front fender?

they are ALL chrome. What you do is you sand the hell out of the fender. then you can paint it. :-)

Use a plastic one off a 82/83 GS1100. Bolts right up.

          Nero,
I hate to break it to you but there are 550's that came with painted front fenders. My 550t should have had one, but came with a replacement chrome one. I have purchased a matching one off of e-bay, but the chrome one is in better shape. Still keeping my eyes out for a better one.

Are there any extras laying around that could use a good home?

It may depend on how the rebuild of the 550 goes. I know that there is a small crack in the painted one so I'm not sure if I'll be using it or not. At some point I'll be selling the chrome one, which is actually metal, and could probably be painted (as was mentioned above). I'm hoping to know by the end of the year on the re-build bit, as I should be getting my frame back from being powder coated any day now.

That's a fender for a 16" wheel, not at 19. I have two spares of that kind of fender in the house.
