Just to be sure, you're saying that is one of the Texavina seats from Viet Nam on that bike?? Also, Looks like you're spending a lot of time rubbing on that thing. Looks like it aint been long since it came off the show room floor.1983 GS1100E, 1983 CB1100F, 1991 GSX1100G, 1996 Kaw. ZL600 Eliminator, 1999 Bandit 1200S, 2005 Bandit 1200S, 2000 Kaw. ZRX 1100

Yes it's a Texavina seat, from eBay under Daytrader. Just got done with the restoration a few months back. You can follow the project in projects.

I got a repro seat for my '73 CB750 for about 200$, really nice - I had the old pan to compare it to and it looked exact. It was from 4into1. Prices up a bit to 249 but think this is the same one, and it's from Vietnam. Honestly it fell into the 'too good to be true' category, since my pan was rusted and seat totally shot. A bargain. Maybe same manufacturer makes for Suzuki but hard to find that out.Last edited by oldGSfan; 08-30-2022, 03:14 AM.Tom

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

Well the pan is a stamped construction with welded brackets. I was thinking it had several welded sections. rather than being stamped out. This is for a 1982 GS1100GL. If they offer you a seat for your model I would assume it would be of similar quality. I can only tell you about what I have. Here is a picture of the back lock hole which is nicely done and the bottom pan
