    Steering lock cover pin source?


    Any of you crafty bastards found a source or some thing close to use to re anchor the steering lock cover?

    Here are some pics of what i talking about. The little brass mushroom guy (the pin) and the loose piece is the expansion collar the pin expands when driven in. (Mine has been cut)

    The hole for the anchor is 2.86mm aka 3mm, which 1/8" is closest. The (cut) male end is about 7mm long.
    The black and white image is roughly how it works, only difference is the pin has a mushroom head.

    I think the term for these is some thing like Pin Drive Anchors or mushroom head pin drive anchors or Nail Drive Anchor.​

    Follow up, I stumbled onto this which matches what i have, I'll just order this instead of trying to source the nail....

    MG Cycle 19782521 - $3.74 - Steering lock cover with pin and spring [19782521] - Steering lock cover with pin and spring for Neiman fork locks found on many models. Note the pin diameter is approximately 3mm.
