    GS1000S replacement mirrors?

I purchased my 1980 GS1000S yesterday. I know the fairing-mounted mirrors are unique, and unobtanium. I would like to preemptively remove them and replace them with something that attaches in the same place and looks reasonably correct. If they worked better that would be a bonus.

Would RG500 Gamma or early GSXR mirrors work? Any other suggestions?

    Thanks!

As it happens, thanks to another helpful fellow here I was able to make contact with the manufacturer in Australia.

This is what he sent me:

              ———

Good idea to remove the mirrors as they are worth lots. I can help with copies of them.
I've been 3d printing mirror parts for the guys on the Facebook page as a hobby. Original mirrors are hard to find and super expensive so this is my way of helping them I’m selling them as Kits, as per photos.
They will need sanding, painting and assembly. Instruction included but it’s a simple job to finish, I just don’t have the time for the sanding painting etc
The spacers are to allow you to see more than your elbows by moving the mirror out 25cm.They are not necessary but do improve you rear view

Cost is $AUD 280, spacers are $AUD 40 and come with the longer mount screws. Postage, including tracking is $AUD 50 . Payment by PayPal

              ———-

              Pic attached.

Damn. That coverts to only 235 US dollars!! Thats a hell of a deal if you ask me. I use SEM trim black ultra on plastic parts so finishing isnt a big deal. Ive never tried clearing over trim paint but id have to give it a go because the factory stems were pretty glossy.
