How much is f6349 in real money? The kid has made off with the Bandit and I'm looking for a replacement.
I've imported a couple of bikes over the years from europe. Brought them in via Canada. (Call it grey market, 'cause they are legal in Canada)That was how I got the German spec 500 Gamma, and the German ELR Kawasaki with metric gauges that are are in the collection The Gamma is titled as a gt550, as the locals at DMV guessed at what to call it and I didn't correct them. Never took it on the street, mind you but have done a couple of track days with it

Is about $12,395 . I found a Import fee of $875. plus tax. That depends on which port of entry, plus another Tarrif tax of 2% for being over 700cc's. But it can be done! To bad that new Concours 14 is calling my name. LOL

Wow...nice pipe on that bike! Sadly, the GSX1400 is'nt being sold here in Canada either...probably because it would compete head-on with the Bandit (that continue to enjoy good sales here I believe). I think there are already a couple 1400's in the US, imported by servicemen returning from overseas...recall seeing some pics on the net.

If you rode one you may be a little disappointed, I did & was:-) quite smooth in a washing machine kind of way, overweight and trick looking suspension built down to a price. My friend has had his rear shocks replaced 3 times because the hydraulic preload adjusters failed. I even had a go after it was fitted with a power commander and 4 into one, power delivery was better although still not overly impressive and the extra power only highlighted the less than perfect handling. He bought it new, spent a packet and sold it after 12 months (at a loss)as he just didn't get a kick out of it. In my humble opinion an XJR1300 is a far nicer bike to ride and feels more like an improved classic jap.

Overweight and undersuspended? Sounds like a GS to me. That thing's frickin sweet lookin, and probably fast as hell.

So basically if you reset the rev limiter to 10,000rpm and put a pipe on it, you pick up 50 horses. That's gotta be the most severely detuned Japanese four banger I've seen in ten years.

NO!!! you need to fit a K&N filter, Power Commander, Full Exhaust system, Hayabusa Cams, Port the head etc to get an additional 35hp brings it to very near a GSX1100ef(GS1150 for the 'Mericans).
