A vote for the red one, I think it looks really good. Not so hot on the Tracy, looks just stuck on. And, just because everyone likes something, it doesn't mean it is not unique. Popularity and uniqueness are different things. Just like if you had a hot rod you built, it can be unique and still very popular with crowds at the shows, and usually because it IS unique.

I don't like either one.....
Too small to do any good, why screw up the looks of the bike?
Especially when you have such a sweet bike to begin with.
The second one looks like the Martians in the latest "War of the Worlds" movie, the first one looks like it came off a nineties something kids tricycle.
The motorcycle itself really is nice.

I have the exact same Tracy on my 650g and like it. It gives enough protection to keep the air off the chest yet isn't too high to cause helmet buffeting.
I originally was going to go naked but had this shield in the garage from another bike and gave it a go last fall when it started getting cold. I removed it for about a week in summer but put it back on. On my bike it seems to make the bars and seat arrangement about perfect. Without it, I would have wanted the bars farther forward.
Can't really give a good high speed review since I haven't had bike over 85 much (only a 650) but it didn't seem to cause any troubles.
As for looks, well, it isn't the greatest.

I like the second one, but then I'm kinda fond of the Tracy mystique. I also think the second one will 'work' where the first looks cute.
I have bought a scaled down version of the Cooley fairing from biffo on the oldskool forum and its about the same size the red one.

I used some small aftermarket indicators mounted on small aluminium brackets, exiting in the cut away section just above the bottom yoke. Unfortunately this was pre-digital camera's and I cant find the only photo I had of it, if I do find it I will try to post a scan of it.

The first one looks more period appropriate to me. It adds more to the bike. The second one would look better on a newer bike.
