That looks to be an early generation R1 stock carbon fiber slip on. I have one myself. Like you I've drilled out the rivet and moved the bracket forward although, I think it would look better on the bike if it was still in it original position, maybe via a bracket extension off your foot pegs.

I'm curious if you've ever touched it down in a sharp right hand turn. Is that a Yosh header its attached too?
Yes, that is an R1 carbon fiber can. The mount is in the original position of the stock muffler. No I've never had the muffler touchdown while turning.
Yes it's a Rifle fairing. Still availlable.

        another view of the exhaust.

I may be American myself, but I still get a kick out of part of Eddie Izzard's routine:

"You say 'erb' and we say 'herb'. Because there's a f***ing 'H' in it."

Okay, done hijacking my own thread.:-D

Actually, I'll justify the hijacking with this: Fantastic pics! It's amazing what can be done with a 20+ year old bike that doesn't involve a rigid frame and teardrop tank like this bike was originally destined for. Now, before I start getting hate mail or someone has a heart attack, that's not what I'm going to do now. I'm actually going for the "hot rod E" look now. Still gonna put a chrome front headlight on it, the original is fugly to me and it's missing anyway.

The Black 550e it's the stock cowl. I cut back the frame and moved it foward @ 8". Sectioned the seat pan, then cut down the seat and recovered. The red 550E I just used a 550L fender. I also cut back the frame and I'm going to make a small flat seat pan. Just simple s^*T.

I was going stir-crazy today, so I washed my bike one-handed (broken and smashed finger). Some fresh pics of the 1150E:
