I've used bar end mirrors for about 15 years on my 650. I had changed to a superbike bar and got a great view of my elbows with the stockers. Also, the buzz I got through the bars put my hands to sleep. The mirrors solve the two problems: I can see behind me and their weight damps the vibration in the aftermarket bar. A picture is attached.

Just my opinion but I recommend paying the extra $$$ and getting the Napoleon brand. They have a better mounting system than the Emgo brand and will last a lot longer. The Napoleons I have on my GS are at least 15 years old and have held together very nicely.

Yeah, I'm not sure which I have - I've had both - but mine are probably Emgo because they don't seem to hold up as well to the elements. Still, this pair has been on for about six year, work fine, look.......well......like the rest of my bike. I'd spend the extra cash if I had your bike, Joe. Of course, after a few years, it would look like any other bike I've owned.

The mirrors in the Napoleans are way superior to the EMGO brand. I wanted something minimal so I went with the bike mirrors. They actually work pretty good and the optics are good quality.

Me too. I've had the same one on the left side since '85, very high quality.

Gonna watch ebay for a while before I break down and buy retail.

                    I appreciate all the input.

Another great idea is to pick up a couple small stick-on convex mirrors and put them on your bike mirrors. You can get them at most auto parts stores for just a few bucks. They do a great job of minimizing your blind spots.

What do I have to do to get noticed around here, set myself on fire and flap my arms like a chicken?*
