Appearance Mods the wrong way... :(

So I take out my beautiful GS for a ride and she's not running right. 15 blocks from my house I stop and look down to see fuel pouring off the engine. Bad. I turn it off right away and push her home. No big deal, I think the fuel line is original, and it's cracked. I park her in the driveway because I didn't want all that fuel to stink up the garage or start a fire.

Skip to the punch, my wife backs into the GS with my new 7 series BMW. Double whammy. I know, that sucks, but it gets worse.

clutch lever, insturment cluster, 2 turn signals, and the engine case cover.

So I get some parts a week later and I pull off the tank to replace the fuel line. the tank is full, and for some reason I decide to drop it upside down on the pavement. Now I'm really, really, really ****ed with a dented and scratched tank.#-o

Poor bike's taken a beating all right in my driveway.

That is indeed a major bummer! I feel you pain. What to do other than toss a pinch of salt over ur shoulder and start putting the pieces back together.

Luckily I have all you great people here.

So can someone tell me if the 750E and 1100E use the same exact instrument cluster in 1982? I guess they look the same, but are the connectors and wiring all the same?
