The bars a beautiful and the crash bars are in tons better condition then you were leading on. BUT I don't think they're gonna work. They just don't fit unless I'm doing something wrong. But yeah no holes line up at all. I dunno I'm gonna try a few more fitments and see where it gets me. If there's no hope I guess I'll leave em in the shed til the day I get a 750 or 850

You trying to mount them to the motor mounts?? Thats where i think they are supposed to mount...but then again the mounts on a 550 are prolly very different.

Well all of that except for electrics. And yeah the remodeling business makes pretty good cash down here. I think when my brother gets out of high school we may do that for a while when I'm still in college just to get some cash-ola
Yup that's what I'm trying. And it ain't working. They're obviously meant for a wider engine I thought they were gonna work but nah I don't think they are. Ah well I'm gonna try sparcers tomorrow see where that gets me. If not I can put them on hold and try to make my own.... I've seen pipe benders go for pretty cheap and I can pick up a cheap welder for christmas

(shhhh im not legal, but the owner pulled the permit) On inspection (the owner also told the inspector they did the work as they are allowed to on thier own home) The inspector said it was the best work she'd ever seen from a non-licensed electrician...how bout that? lol

Man i just found out something sweet...The starter clutch assbly and starter motor out of that 80 are exact matches to the one in my 77..thats sweet cos the starter clutch in my 77 is shot..not that it matters much cos its still got a kick, but it would be nice not to have to kick it unless i want to. lol

Yup will be here tomorrow for sure according to fedex. Hopefully have them synced by the weekend. Then hopefully take her out for a shakedown and see where im sitting as far as the needle possition and mixture screws go, and hope i dont need too much tweaking. but i think i should be JUST about there. I hope..lol After that, it will be time to get the Dyna sorted, and then prolly break her down to start re-paint, powdercoat and general cleaning up. Wiring will be done over this weekend too. I figure by February i should be just about done, untill i find a nicer looking motor to drop in her. Gonna get an aluminum boxed swingarm to put on her too, but that can maybe wait till the spring.

Actually ive already found out that a 83 and up 750 boxed swingarm will swap with just drilling out the mount holes for the bigger bolts. One of the guys on here who just re-did his 750B (saving Grandpa GS) did it and thats all he had to do aside from purchasing eye/eye shocks instead of the eye/clevis mount. But again..first things first..i could spend an eternity tweaking and tricking, i just want her to run and ride with what she's got now and worry bout "lighten-ing" her up later.
