Well there ya go! that may be your ticket...worse comes to worse and nothing works for ya...i'll be lookin for that motor...hehehe..but im sure you'll find something to work out. So they just have standard halogen bulbs in em now? and the housing is pretty strong and looks good? I saw the one on your bike and it looks sweet, but i didnt know if you had to mod anything to get it to work out.

Ill have to look, but i dont recal if mine had the Vin plate on it or if it was stamped into the frame. Ill check in the morning. I had no problems with mine at all fortunately.

NOICE... Now that's caffinated.... Bah I was about to grab the camera to upload the pics I took today but alas I can't find it. I think my mom has it in her room.... Got some other gauges?

Yeah those are stock 77 gauges..dunno if im gonna go with them or not...the only bonus is they go to 140MPH and they would allow me to move my ignition switch to the original position. BUT they are kinda bulky and are ugly when you pull the dummy light assembly off. I kinda like the way the gauges i got from you look with the center console stuff popped off of em.

What you dont like the orange?
Yes they are kind of ugly without the black plastic, kind of remind me of Darth Vader unmasked.
I think if you could re-route the wires a little and put a cap on the backs of the individual gauges maybe a little black paint and they would look good. Something I have thought of doing with mine anyway,if I ever get to fully cafenating my ride.

Gotta make the time. What I do is trade sleep for working on the bike.... Besides who needs sleep? Its overrated :-D

I had considered that when i took them apart to clean them, but i dunno what to use to make a cap....just hosing them down with some paint might not be a bad look either...they dont look bad orange, as the bike on the Clymer manual looks sweet..but i think the orange would clash with my black and brass...lol
