Is your brake a stock setup? If so take a couple of close up pics and post them. I'll look and see if I notice anything (spacer missing, etc.) I doubt it will help, but it can't hurt. Your rear wheel should spin pretty freely without much if any rub.

Its stock except this new caliper is off an 80...i checked them out and they look and measure identical..But this one rubs, and its a lil tight putting it on the bracket, so that may be it, but it still doesnt explain the constant lock up. The only thing i can think is that rotor is warped, or the hoses are no good. I've been batling this since i bought the bike, and have yet to figure it out.

I'll post up some pics tomorrow BG...obviously its dark right now and i dont have a garage so the bike is in my shed out of the rain and snow. I checked BB and the caliper part no. are not the same, but they look and measure absolutely identical. SOO i guess i'll be going back to the original caliper, as it didnt seem so tight, nor did it rub as much before. Wait..i wonder if the BRACKET is spaced differently, like maybe ITS wider and not the caliper. Makes sense i guess since the spoke rims would be a lil more narrow that the cast id think. Gonna bang my head against the wall some more and see what happens tomorrow. Damit.

Wow i managed to find Stainless brake line cheaper than OEM replacement lines on Z1...definately going with that! The OEM lines are about 25 bucks a piece and the stainless equivelant is about 15...THAT is a hell of a deal. I love Z1
                          :-D

You serious????? That's cheaper than if you build them yourself!

Yeah here check it out! I mean you'll have to buy your fittings and those are about 6 or 7 bucks so it prolly balances out to building them yourself, but if you can buy them why bother?? LOL when you look at it like that, but even with the rubber hoses you have to buy your new fittings.

Wow. I think I may just buy some along with the new caliper for the front.... Would you happen to know if all the fitting are the same size for these UJMs? I'm probably gonna get the caliper off of a Kaw as per 8track's instructions
