You really want to get down to it I've seen guys with V8 burn rubber the ENTIRE length of the drag strip. And more impressive than that. These same guys have figured out how to lock 8000 horsepower to the ground with no burn out at all. I think your little import drag racers just don't know what they're doing
PSHAW....You need to pay more attention Riot bro...There are Supras that will make you sick...RWD big wrinkle walls on it...and no they arent alcohol cars, but then again, you cant classify an alchohol car as an American motor, as they are hand built. Sure they are based off an american design, but EVERYTHING has been tweaked, welded, bored, turned milled machined...etc etc. by hand...they aren't much like your standard motor at all.

sentra is the civic and the corolla.

the altima is a midsize the maxima is lumped in with fullsize/ premium midsize.

the avalon , maxima , and taurus are all considered fullsize nowadays.

there used to be car classes like

      compact , midsize , fullsize

      now there's

micro , sub-compact , compact , midsize , between midsize and fullsize and then theres still full size.

And I gaurantee the amount of money it takes to make 500 horsepower in an import compared to how much money it takes to make 500 horsepower in a BB will make you cry
Its not comparable at all really...the new GT-R makes 480 with ease..and slated for a supersport version turning 530 street legal horse, STOCK. And at head to head tests, destroys the new ZO6, eats a Porche 911 Turbo for lunch and turns the 5th fastest lap times at Nuerburing (sp) with a lil over 7 minutes with NO stress at all.

just s u guys know the altima and maxima are about the same size. kinda retarded .

a lot of brands have soo many different or just barely different cars out there.

I just got done reading the article on the new GT-R and they had a stat in there i found QUITE amusing. If you take the performance numbers it turns, and compare them in ratio to the MSRP of your next exotic car, based on ITS performance numbers...the 60 to 80 thousand dollar GT-R should cost 400,000 bucks US...lmao

it's all about horsepower to liter!

              lol.

              ironrot , there's 3.0 liter supra's with more than 1200 whp....

there's the same supra's with more than 800whp on stock bottom ends.
more than 700whp on virtually completely stock internals

there's is a N/A B20 block (a honduh crv motor of all things) with 700 whp!

              that's 700whp n/a out of a 2.0 motor!

it will end up being 100k. just wait for the dealer mark up

i have a feeling sales will be bad. very bad , worse than the last two years of the supra in the us.

and some of them get no burn and all traction as well depending upon the class.

i'm saying on street tires a 400-600 hp fwd car will do a longer burnout than most 400-600 hp rwd cars . at least of the ones i've seen and driven in person.

but each car is different as well , the suspension components , width of tire , boost or no boost , higher hp or more torque.
With 500-600 HP any car will burn rubber for as long as you keep the gas down. I can atest to this. But you're right all cars are different

oh and i dunno how cheap 1000hp is for a bb but in a 2jzgtte ( supra motor) you can get 1000whp for about 10k.

That number (60 to 80) was assumed dealer markup price...MSRP is a lil under 50K

Yeah Supra's are crazy. But aren't Skylines the better ones? I used to hear about Skylines making 900 hp on a inline six. Cool car. Looked nice too. Then it was cancelled

last I read was msrp of 67,000 and that was two days ago.

Skylines never made it to the states untill the new GT-R...you could buy the motors, as alot did and squoze them into sylvias (240sx) but the cars had emissions problems, thanks again Cali, and also driveline to the Left side problems...since have obviously been rectified.

Whats the specs on that? Forced induction? Mind you its turning 30 more horsepower than a Z06. Also what does it cost? A Z06 is pretty much half the price of any other super car out there. Plus all american parts so its relatively cheap to work on. And to destroy a Z06 it also have to destroy Lambo's and Ferrari's. Can it do that also?
