Well, i have to leave for work at 3, so if ya think we can get it out pretty quick we can give it a shot. Even if we cant get the bike down there, we could prolly get the motor out. I can get her downstairs by meself with the motor out i think. I'll get crackin on it in the AM, and get the header off, and the bolts out, dunno bout gettin the chain off, not sure as the best way to go about it..Take the swinger off or take it off at the motor?? Looks to be a bit of a PITA to get the clutch linkage apart and what not? You done that on yours atall??

I haven't taken the cluch lingage apart on my bike yet give me a few minutes and I can go take a look. I know when I took the sprocket cover off my bike it look like it would be a lot easyer to take the chain off the motor and just move it out of the way. and leave the swing arm attached.

looking at this it looks like it will be pretty easy to take the clucth cable off.

On a side note I went ahead and ordered the bolt kit from z1 tonight also went ahead and got a oil filter while I was at it.

Yea it look like its a nice kit. I don't think it will be hard at all to pull that motor. Just got to make sure to get all cables and wires out of the way. Well I'm going to hit the sack 7am comes to soon. I'll stop by tomorrow after school.

That sucks man but its inevitable. I think EVERYONE has had to deal with a snapped exhaust bolt

Dude getting the clutch off isn't hard. Its putting it back on. I struggled for like an hour to get it back on. I finally think I got it though. I had to remove the clock plastic gear (when you see it you'll know what I'm talking about) and I had to put it on backward for it to work. I guess my brother was screwing with it.... Either way it fits on there now. BUT I don't know if its working right or not. Plus the clutch lever is harder than all fvck to pull. Like I have a strong grip and all but man this is just ridiculous. I guess I need to play with it some more

Sounds good Cole! I'll see ya then...oh and if ya have a spare impact driver philips bit, mind bringin it along? I think my number two is snapped but i may have another...

yeah Riot, i HAVE been lucky so far with the header bolts..the ones on my bike were amazingly easy to remove, once you got yourself in a possition to get around the frame..lol So i cant b1tch too much i suppose. Ugh man, they're callin for 6-8 inches by sunday night up here. With 1/10 to 2/10 of an inch of ice under that, as its supposed to freezing rain for most of the day tomorrow. Looks like its gonna be a wet one gettin that motor out, but i dont want her to get burried.

I just bought a new cover for mine, as my original actually either blew away (which i doubt) or some punk kid stole it for chits and giggles (prolly more likely) We get this thing downstairs, and you're welcome to borrow it for the winter!

Ohio, well more accurately, Miami (ohio) valley summers are pretty brutal too...90ish degrees in good length, and relative humidity in the 90percentile at times. I dont mind the heat at all...its the humidity that sapps you dry..

Amen to that. We usually enjoy 100+ degrees in the summer. BUT GOD THE HUMIDITY!!!!! Its usually at like 110% lol. We have a running joke that its so humid there's more water in the air then air in the air. Every summer we get a few days of dry heat. Those are just magical.
