Thanks guys! And yeah, I also expected the Acewell to be bigger. I had imagined it in the 4" range, but its really about 2-1/2" across. But you get used to it.

Lee, that little thing looks SWEET!

So, how simple was the Acewell to hook up? I am an idiot when it comes to electrical stuff.....

Me: Hey Dan-O. Just wanted to say howdy & love ya!

Dan-O: Howdy and Love you too. Doing good, feeling good.

Me: Give 'em hell, Little Bro!

        Dan-O: Roger that! :)

Thanks again for the compliments, boys. Didn't mean to highjack the thread with my bike.

Here's a few pictures I snapped on the way out the door this morning. (My garage is a mess )

Erm, uh, yeah, about that ignition. See, the thing is, my bike came to me with an ignition that could be turned with a screw driver. So for the past year, whilest working on all other parts of the bike, I've just been hardwiring the bike when I go for rides. I took the male plug (you can see the green female dangling in the photo) and simply soldered together the wires. So to turn the bike on, I just plug my "key" in, and away I go. Its half-assed, but it follows the bikes theme. One of these days, I'll get a keyed ignition, and relocate it by the battery. One of these days....:-D

                      Lee,

Sweet bike! I have been looking for a direction to go with my 1100E and this might be the push I needed to get rolling. That little gauge looks just about perfect up there, I need to do some shopping now for sure.

                      Thanks,
                      Mark

Thanks, Mark. I think this gauge would really be well suited for the 1100E especially. The black case and blue background are nice.

hehehe sounds like my 750B when i bought it...gauges were gone of it, so the guy had the ignition mounted to one of the turn signal holes inthe fork ears...interesting..ive since restored it to its original spot, complete with original style gauges.

My mount is an arch of aluminum sheet that is 3/4" wide and polished. It archs out from the two barclamps (where it mounts) and has the gauge centered and sitting about 3" out from the top tripple.

Is that a frame slider attached to your bottom shock mount?

No, its part of the gixxer shock.

                                Lee,

What did you do with that gruesome tangle of wires that normally run into the headlight bucket and up to the guage cluster?
